Objective: Your child will be able to tell you that God helped Peter escape from prison.

Bible Story Review Questions:

  1. Why was Peter in prison? (For preaching about Jesus)
  2. What did Peter have on his wrists? (Chains)
  3. To whom was Peter chained? (Two soldiers)
  4. What were Peter’s friends doing while he was in prison? (Praying for him)
  5. Who sent the angel to help Peter? (God)
  6. What did the angel do? (He woke Peter; told Peter to get up and get dressed; led Peter out of prison)
  7. Where did Peter go when he realized he was free? (His friends’ house)

  3. How did Jesus’ helpers protect Paul? (They put him in a basket and lowered him down a wall)
  4. What helpers does God use to keep you safe? (Answers will vary)

Topic: Paul and Silas in Prison
Objective: Your child will be able to tell you that Paul and Silas told a jailer about Jesus.

Bible Story Review Questions:

  1. What did the Jailer do to Paul and Silas when they were put in jail? (He locked large pieces of wood over their ankles and locked them in a dark cell)
  2. How do you think Paul and Silas felt in the jail? (Answers will vary)
  3. What did Paul and Silas do in jail? (They began to sing and praise God)
  4. What happened when they sang and praised God? (An earthquake shook the wooden stocks off their feet and opened the doors of the jail)
  5. Why was the jailer frightened? (He thought the prisoners had escaped and that he would get into trouble)
  6. What did Paul and Silas tell the jailer? (They told him Jesus loved him)
  7. What did the jailer do after he heard about Jesus? (He took Paul and Silas to his house to tell his family about Jesus)

  6. Did Paul pray for any other sick people? Who? (Yes, people who lived on the Island of Malta)
