April 1, 2018

Topic: Jesus is Alive
Objective: Your child will be able to tell you that Jesus is alive.

Bible Story Review Questions:

  1. Why were Jesus’ friends sad? (Jesus was dead. A big stone had been rolled in front of His tomb)
  2. What is a tomb? (A cave with a stone in front of it)
  3. Who came to visit Jesus’ tomb? (Mary and her friend)
  4. Who rolled the stone away from the tomb? (An angel)
  5. What did the angel tell Mary and her friend? (Jesus is alive!)

Weekly Bible Verse: “[Jesus] has risen from the dead.” – Matthew 28:7 (NIV)
Unit Bible Verse: “God…gave his one and only son.” – John 3:16 (NIV)

April 8, 2018

Topic: Adam and Eve
Objective: Your child will be able to tell you about a choice that Adam and Even made in the Garden of Eden.

Bible Story Review Questions:

  1. Where did Adam and Eve live? (In the beautiful Garden made by God)
  2. What rule did God give Adam and Eve? (Don’t eat fruit from the tree in the center of the Garden)
  3. Who tricked Eve into eating the fruit that God said not to eat? (A snake)
  4. What did Adam do when Eve ate the fruit? (He ate some too)
  5. What happened because Adam and Even disobeyed God? (They could no longer live in the Garden. Adam had to work hard, and Eve had pain)

Unit Bible Verse: “We must obey God.” – Acts 5:29 (NIV)

Topic: Jonah and the Big Fish
Objective: Your child will be able to tell you what happened when Jonah chose to first disobey and then to obey God.

Bible Story Review Questions:

  1. How did Jonah choose to disobey God? (He ran away instead of going to tell the people of Nineveh about God)
  2. What happened when Jonah disobeyed God? (He was swallowed by a big fish)
  3. What happened when Jonah obeyed God? (The people of Nineveh chose to do good instead of bad)
  4. What choice did the people in Nineveh have to make? (They had to choose to stop doing bad things)
  5. What choices can you make? (Answers will vary. Examples: to obey parents, to share with a friend, to smile at a neighbor, etc.)

Topic: A Son Comes Home
Objective: Your child will be able to tell you that a father forgave his son.

Bible Story Review Questions:

  1. What did the father give his son? (Money)
  2. What did the son do with all his money? (Spent it in selfish ways)
  3. What did the son do when his money was all gone? (Got a job feeding pigs)
  4. What happened when the son went back home? (His father hugged him, forgave him, gave him gifts)
  5. Whom can you forgive? (Answers will vary)

Topic: Naaman Is Healed
Objective: Your child will be able to tell you that God healed Naaman when he obeyed.

Bible Story Review Questions:

  1. What was the name of the soldier in our Bible story? (Naaman)
  2. What was wrong with Naaman? (He had leprosy)
  3. What did the young girl who worked for Naaman’s wife do to help Naaman? (She told him about Elisha, a man of God who could help him)
  4. What did Naaman do to be healed? (Wash seven times in the Jordan River)
  5. What happened when Naaman obeyed and dipped in the water seven times? (He was healed)
