On Sunday morning, May 27th, our very special guests are Chris and Angela Nelson. Chris and Angela have been supported by Northlake AG as missionaries to Venezuela for many years, and we are excited to have them join us in worship at 10:30am!

Chris Nelson’s bio:

“My family and I have the awesome privilege of serving as Career Missionaries to Venezuela with the Assemblies of God. We serve in the following capacities in Venezuela: National Director for Global University, International Advisor for the Venezuelan Assemblies of God World Missions Executive Committee, Directors for the Pavia Project and Esperanza Project, National Directors for Latin American Child Care and Engage International directors for Venezuela. Additionally, Angela and I do a lot of traditional missions work in the capacity of church planting, training and assisting pioneer ministries.”

35th Anniversary Sunday

On Sunday morning, June 3rd, Northlake Assembly of God will celebrate its 35th Anniversary with Sunday School classes beginning at 9:30am, and the morning worship service beginning at 10:30am. Our very special guest will be Rev. Lee Russell. Pastor Russell was only the 2nd Senior Pastor at Northlake AG, and he and his wife Wilma ministered for 26 years- from 1984 to 2010.

After the service, make plans to join us for homecoming lunch, held in the Family Life Center gym. The meal is covered dish, but Northlake AG will provide all of the meat and drinks, so please consider bringing covered dish sides and desserts to share!

Men’s Bowling

On the third Thursday of each month, the Northlake Men’s Ministry meets for two hours of bowling at Northcross Lanes (I-77/Exit 25 in Huntersville). We begin at 8pm, and the cost is only $10 per person for unlimted games within two hours. If you’re joining us for the first time, your cost of admission is on us!

Missions Sunday

The first Sunday of each month is Missions Offering Sunday at Northlake AG. During the morning worship service, we will receive a special offering to help support our 20+ Missionaries around the world.

We are frequently blessed to host one of our Missionaries during a Sunday morning or Sunday evening service. They spend a few moments sharing how the financial support of the church has equipped them, and how prayer support has sustained them, as they leave the comforts of home and travel to remote places in the world to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Guest Speaker – Dave Roever

Dave Roever grew up in a loving, committed family in South Texas. The last thing on his mind was going to war. At the height of the Vietnam War, he received his draft notice. Having no desire to serve in the infantry, he joined the Navy and served as a river boat gunner in the elite Brown Water Black Beret in Vietnam.

Eight months into his tour of duty in Vietnam, Dave was burned beyond recognition when a phosphorous grenade he was poised to throw exploded in his hand. The ordeal left him hospitalized for fourteen months, where he underwent numerous major surgeries. His survival and life are miraculous.

Today, with his humorous style, Dave Roever is enthusiastically received both nationally and internationally as a public speaker, and we are blessed and honored to host Mr. Roever at Northlake Assembly of God, on Sunday, April 22nd at 6pm. If you’ve never experienced Dave Roever’s testimony and ministry in person, you will not want to miss this opportunity!
